What is Catering Project?

Catering Project is a catering company based in Sydney and Melbourne that focuses mainly on corporate catering. We work with offices, event organisers, and businesses to provide fresh food for meetings, team lunches, conferences, and workplace events. Our goal is to make catering simple and reliable for busy teams.

What makes Catering Project different from other catering companies?

Catering Project has been in the catering industry for more than 10 years, and over that time, we’ve built our service around what workplaces actually need. We are constantly improving our menu, operations, and systems to make ordering catering easier for our customers.

We offer next-day delivery with a relatively late order cut-off, which helps when meetings or events come up last-minute. Our customer service team is also available 7 days a week to assist with orders and enquiries. We also don’t charge third-party service fees when you order directly from us, which many customers appreciate.

Overall, we focus on providing reliable service, fresh food, and a straightforward ordering experience for offices and events.

What types of catering do you offer?

We specialise in corporate catering for offices, meetings, events, and team functions like boardroom meetings, seminars, and conferences. We have also done catering for major events like the annual Sydney Running Festival, UNSW Graduation, gala dinners, and many more. Our menu covers breakfast, morning tea, lunch, afternoon tea, cocktails and canapés, sit-down plated or shared menus, grazing tables or platters, and many more. 

Who usually orders catering from Catering Project?

How much notice do you need for catering orders?

For next-day delivery, please place your order by 5 pm on weekdays or 3 pm on weekends.

If you require catering on the same day, we may be able to assist depending on availability. In those cases, it’s best to contact our team directly, and we’ll see what we can do.

Can I amend my order after placing it?

Yes, we may be able to accommodate last-minute or same-day catering orders depending on availability. If you need catering on short notice, it’s best to contact our team directly, and we’ll do our best to assist.

Do you offer recurring office catering?

Yes. Many of our corporate clients arrange regular catering for weekly meetings, team lunches, and ongoing office catering.

In Sydney, we deliver to many areas, including Sydney CBD, Barangaroo, Darling Harbour, Pyrmont, Surry Hills, Redfern, Waterloo, Zetland, North Sydney, Chatswood, Macquarie Park, Alexandria, Mascot, Paddington, Randwick, Leichhardt, Balmain, Newtown, Homebush, Rhodes, Parramatta, and many more.

In Melbourne, our delivery areas include Melbourne CBD, Docklands, Southbank, South Melbourne, Port Melbourne, Richmond, Carlton, Fitzroy, Collingwood, Brunswick, St Kilda, Prahran, Hawthorn, Kew, Camberwell, Essendon, and surrounding suburbs.

Delivery fees and minimum spend vary depending on the suburb.

Do you deliver to office buildings and reception desks?

Yes. We regularly deliver to office receptions, building concierge desks, loading docks (where applicable), and other designated delivery points.

Our experienced drivers are also familiar with delivering to corporate buildings and know how to work around access procedures, loading zones, and building requirements to ensure your catering arrives smoothly.

Can you deliver early morning or lunchtime catering?

Yes. We offer breakfast catering, morning tea, lunch catering, and deliveries throughout the workday depending on your location.

Do you deliver on time?

On-time delivery is a priority for us. Our catering is prepared fresh and delivered within your nominated delivery window.

Cancellations & Refund

What is your cancellation policy?

Cancellations must be made at least 24 hours before the scheduled delivery time to be eligible for a refund. Orders cancelled within 24 hours of delivery are non-refundable.

For Monday deliveries, cancellation requests must be received before 12pm on the Friday prior.

Buffet catering requires a minimum of 5 days’ notice for cancellations or postponements.

Can I cancel my catering order?

Yes, you can cancel your order by contacting our team via email or phone.

How much notice is required to cancel an order?

Cancellations must be made at least 24 hours before the scheduled delivery time.

What happens if I cancel within 24 hours of delivery?

Orders cancelled within 24 hours of delivery are not refundable.

Is the cancellation policy different for Monday deliveries?

Yes. For Monday orders, cancellations must be submitted before 12pm on the Friday prior.

Can I cancel or postpone buffet catering orders?

Buffet orders require at least 5 days’ notice for cancellations or postponements.

Can I reduce the number of items after confirming my order?

Numbers can be adjusted up to 48 hours before the event. After that time, increases may be accepted depending on availability, but reductions cannot be made.

Do you cater for dietary requirements?

Yes. Our menu includes vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free, dairy-free, and halal-friendly options. Dietary information is clearly listed on our website.

Can you cater for allergies?

We take allergies seriously and clearly label our menu items. While we take care during preparation, our kitchen handles common allergens, so we recommend discussing severe allergies with our team in advance.

Do you offer healthy catering options?

Is there a minimum order value?

Minimum order values may apply depending on your delivery location. This will be shown during checkout when placing your order.

How far in advance should I order catering?

We recommend placing catering orders at least one day in advance. Orders placed by 5 pm on weekdays or 3 pm on weekends are available for next-day delivery. For larger events, custom menus, or peak periods, we recommend placing your order earlier to ensure availability.

What is the minimum order for catering?

Minimum order requirements depend on the day of delivery.

Monday to Saturday: from $100 + GST per delivery

Sunday: from $250 + GST per delivery

Minimum spend excludes delivery fees.

How much notice do you need for catering orders?

We offer next-day delivery for most catering orders.

Orders placed by 5pm on weekdays or 3pm on weekends can be delivered the following day.

Do you accept last-minute catering orders?

Delicious and well-presented food, and they have many options to choose from. The only issue is that they brought our order a little over an hour early. Since we work on a university campus, we were on the opposite side of campus and had to stop working early to get to the location of our meeting. Better early than late, though. Would recommend to anyone.

Food was absolutely delicious, service and delivery was great. Only thing important to note is the cost is huge for the amount of food you get. $600 for two sandwich platters, one kids ham and cheese platter, sushi and fruit platter. The quantity in each platter is quite small for what you pay. Just something to note if you wish to order!
